Empowering Dads, Changing Lives!

How It All Started!

In September 2023, I took a chance and started ASD Dads from my garage in South Auckland.
At the time, my goal was simple: connect with just two or three other dads who were also raising autistic children. I never imagined that what began as a small support group would grow into a global movement—connecting families across Aotearoa, Australia, Japan, and even the U.S.

As a father navigating this journey myself, I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming it can feel. That’s why ASD Dads exists: to build a village where we can share the load, show up for each other, and make sure no parent ever feels alone in this.

A single video sparked a national movement, with dads from all over the country reaching out, eager to join the community. As a father of an autistic child myself, I understood the struggles and isolation that came with navigating life and finding support. My own journey with my 6-year-old son, Storm, has been a driving force behind ASD Dads.

Being able to socialise with other dads who are going through what I am. As a male i find it difficult to even express my feelings about my ausome child but being around a bunch of males who can understand the same situation is a blessing I've been searching for.
